Our Story

The Beginning

The journey of Kannan’s Kaapi began with a simple passion.

Mr. Jayakumar, the founder of Kannan Jubilee Coffee Company, started his career as a salesman. His curiosity and fascination with coffee beans soon transformed into a calling. With guidance from his mother, he began blending coffee at home, packing it himself, and selling it door-to-door.

What started as a humble effort quickly found its place in the hearts of coffee lovers in Coimbatore. His blends became a preferred choice among true filter Kaapi enthusiasts.

In 1971, the first exclusive outlet of Kannan’s Kaapi was established — marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

The Evolution

With the entry of the second generation, Mr. Shanker Krishnan, the brand entered a new phase of growth and identity.

Kannan Jubilee Coffee Company began expanding under the Kannan’s Kaapi brand name — aligning its offerings with the rich tradition of homemade coffee blends. This transition allowed the brand to move beyond standalone stores into:
